When a Gel Cell battery is charged, no hazardous fumes escape the battery case, gases are processed within the battery itself.

I bought the same battery a couple years ago. Much easier to install. Recent purchase was more difficult.

well after 2 years it is dead and will not hold a charge. Looked like a good value at first. worked well in the beginning but after less than 2 years I have to buy a new battery. I guess you get what you pay for.
