The Mighty Max Charger provides an enhanced charging method that will not damage your batteries when left connected. Mighty Max 24V 5A charger also provides a short circuit protection, enabling the product to charge safely in most environments. Mighty Max 24V 5A charges 24V lead acid and Gel cell type Batteries. Discharger is very tough and long-lasting and has little red and green light to tell you when it’s charged it also has a little motor in it when the motor stops you know that is fully charged. Sometimes when it’s charging and then I take the charger plug out of the scooter and then put it back in then it turns from red to Green so I’m not sure why that happens but in general it’s a very good charger and worth the money and it has a little holes on the side you can put padlocks so that you can padlock it to a wall wherever the charger is being charged and someone won’t walk off with it I’m very pleased.

The plug on the charger has 3 prongs, the middle one longer than the others. The cord doesn’t sit flat on the prongs, so I have to shove it in very hard, and make sure it doesn’t wiggle or in the morning, the chair isn’t charged. Other than that, the fan is loud, but my husband can’t hear, and it drowns out the snores from my dog in his dog bed (white noise). When it works, it works very well.

This is the right charger for this Jet 3 Ultra wheelchair. DO NOT get caught up in getting a cheaper unit. The unit should indicate what the pin configuration is, Pin 2 and 3 must be connected! The key differences that the three pin connector is a bit smaller than the others and is NOT a snug fit, it slides right in. If it does not fit in easily it is the wrong charger, and you risk damage to the chair and batteries Pine 2 and 3 are jumpered so that the chair can see B – on both pins The chair wants to see a negative on pin 3 so it will disable the chair and turn the chair into the chair mode so your lights flash and the chair is disabled. Three stage charging is necessary so you do not cook your batteries This unit works as it should, appears to well made, and should last several years

This charging system works much better then the on-board charger did before it quit working. It charges more completely in less time. The cooling fan has a lot to do with it.
