This battery has better cranking power and spins my 21 HP, 42 cut riding mower better than a higher-rated CCA battery, which just up and died on me, that I bought from a well-known local parts store just a few years ago. So figured I’d try this one and given the noticeable difference in cranking power the value for the money is 5 stars for me. Have only had it about a month though so can’t really rate longevity quite yet. So far so good though and the fit in the battery compartment is fairly snug, but good, so I don’t have to worry about it wobbling around either.

But I managed to just barely stretch the cables enough to reach. Do not buy this battery for any riding mower made by MTD, with a Briggs and Stratton engine. This includes Craftsman, Bolens, Cub Cadet, MTD, Troy Built, White and Yard Man. I will let you know next year if it lasts or not. I keep all my batteries on electronic trickle in the winter

This is a great battery and was recommended for my lawn tractor. It doesn’t exactly fit in the space provided and I had to make a couple of adjustments to wiring, but when all was said and done, the tractor started right up. And that was after not being started since last fall. I am impressed.

This battery is a great value and has high CCA amps for easy start. I installed this in a 16-year-old John Deere riding lawn tractor. Battery fit perfectly and was a cinch to install. The battery came with a 95 o/o charge and includes the negative and positive hardware to connect battery cables from tractor. This battery really spins over the Kohler engine and starts in a snap. I highly recommend this mighty max!

Battery arrived in perfect condition thanks to its excellent packaging. USPS tried to wreck it, but only dinged a corner of the double wall box. The sealed battery was unharmed. I gave it a trickle charge for a few hours to peak it out. Good engineering practice for a new lead acid battery. Then it sat overnight and still read 13.2 volts. My load tester said it has 440 CCA. That is well above the rated 320 CCA on the lable. So this should do an excellent job in my lawn tractor!
