    I read some of the reviews on this battery that wasn’t good. Well, for me it installed well, just a little tightness where the old battery had to come out and replace with this one (Simon XT unit) – other than that I heard the click that it was correctly in place. No others problem or issues. I’m very satisfied.

    Simon XT indicated low battery voltage, so I bought this to replace the battery. Fits perfectly and after initial charging the low voltage error went away. Will know in a couple of years if the quality is good, but so far it works as hoped. Batteries from the Alarm reseller were running close to $25, so well worth trying this one even if it ends up with a bit shorter lifespan.

    The battery was a perfect replacement battery for my GE Simon XT Security Alarm systems and I had no issues replacing the battery – search YouTube, there are several tutorials. I did not unplug my system when I performed the battery switch and had no issues. As noted by others, once you replace the battery you will still get a low-battery warning for about another 24 hours until the new battery comes up to full charge. My warning had been going on for awhile so I paid for expedited shipping (which still took 4 days) – by the time I installed the battery I had had the low battery warning for over two weeks and the alarm system worked fine so keep this in mind when considering expedited shipping. The battery has been installed for about a month an no issues, but then again, I wouldn’t expect any issues in that short of a time frame.

    This is an excellent battery. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite fit so I had to make very slight modifications to the battery bay with my Dremel, grinding away just a tiny amount of plastic.
