This product arrived quickly and is nicely built but there can be a problem. While this will most likely work on most car batteries I ran into a problem with a new Interstate marine deep cycle battery I wanted to test. Each cell does not contain enough liquid to get a reading so I was out of luck for testing though generally this tester works really well when there is enough battery acid to fill the tester. There is no way to know in advance if this will work with a specific battery.

I use it to test my boat batteries. I don’t have power down on my dock. So I test them to see if any need a charge. Then I can bring them up to the garage for charging. I have three boats with two batteries in each. I really need to run power down there!
