I use this for as a backup battery for mobile devices–with a 12V Y socket adapter with negative/positive large copper clip connectors and a 12V USB socket adapter for the typical 5V devices.. 12V lead acid batteries like this are relatively large: If they’re not blocks this size, they’re thinner–yet with a relatively large area.My float charger appears to work well with this. It will store far more current than the typical over–hyped and over-priced emergency chargers generally purchased by consumers. It even charges mobile devices–immediately and directly! I figure also that this is useful as well in autos with alternator whine–supplanting then the cig lighter or the analogous device socket. Such uses are inherently more hazardous than typical consumer-purchase solutions, nonetheless.This is hobbyist use, I suppose. Needless to say, such uses aren’t intended by any lead acid battery fabricator. Naturally, the hot interior of a vehicle may make such a battery very hazardous, too. Always use caution, common sense, and remain aware of its hazards and limitations–use safety glasses, long sleeve clothing, and gloves..Don’t gaze at it nearby for long, either.I think that this is intended perhaps for desktop PC UPS battery replacement, burglar alarms, and EXIT signs, perhaps. I like it!
