The battery terminals should be oriented so that you attach the cables from the side of the bike. Unfortunately, these force you to attach the cables from the front (engine side) or the rear (tire side), stretching the cables and making installation a nightmare, due to limited space. Also, it’s a safety issue, because road grit and moisture spray directly onto the terminals.
