The YTX9-BS GEL is a 12V 8AH GEL (Maintenance Free) battery. Requires no addition of water during the life of the battery. The Mighty Max YTX9-BS GEL is a TRUE DEEP CYCLE battery that can be mounted in any position, requires no maintenance. When a Gel Cell battery is charged, no hazardous fumes escape the battery case, gases are processed within the battery itself.

At first I thought it was non-compatible with the Amazon Basics battery backup & surge protector but after a bit of wrestling it fit like a glove, be sure to keep the battery parallel lengthways with the back of the unit and it’ll drop right in after hookup.
