    battery is okay, but had to buy a couple for my mower now because the post on the battery break off after a while. I think it’s because of vibration of the wire that finally causes the post to break. Need my electric start so I’ll try another way of connection.

    I installed the battery and started the lawn mower. Had a hard time turning the engine over but once it started turning it seemed fine. Charged the battery overnight with the same results. Not sure if its the battery or the mower so went with a 3 rating.

    I have been asked to write a review for this battery so I wanted to wait for a few uses before writing this review. The battery is the same size as the BP3-12 for a toro assisted propel mower. The first thing that stand out is the terminals for the positive and negative were the same size. The BP3-12 has a bigger lead for the positive so you don’t accidentally connect the leads wrong. The battery worked fine after it was charged and it worked for the next two start cycle without recharging. 2 weeks later, the battery was drained. I recharged the battery after each use and it seemed to work fine. I find that this battery drains too fast for the simple action of starting the mower and no other function, so I am giving this battery 3 stars.

    This battery is not an exact replacement for a CP1232. It is about 1/8 taller, so I couldn’t close the battery cover on the UPS it was installed in.
