I have no complaints about this. I use it in my battery charger. It has saved me a lot of time and grief. Airing up tires on lawnmower and gator and sometimes the car.

Once I finally was able to open the B&D Electromate,, this battery slipped right in. You will have to remove the plastic retaining band at the bottom of the unit, slice thru the sticker at the bottom, remove the radio as there are two screws holding the halves together. You will also have to remove about 8 screws with a long thin P1 Phillips screwdriver, but the hardest part was removing the two black plastic edge trim pieces on the sides to expose some more screws holding the halves together. I found pushing the small tip of the trim outward to the sides would loosen the plastic pin holding it in a retaining hole, I then could grab with a visegrip and pull sideways. You will only be able to go 1/2 way as the plug holding in the middle will not come until you open the two halves. But you only need to remove the radio side of the trim as that is where the heads of the hidden screws are. This was a cumbersome process to open but was cake to put it back and the unit works just fine.

The battery arrived in a timely fashion.I decided to replace just the battery on the premise of saving some money. Time will tell whether this was a good decision based on the longevity of the new battery. I’ve only cycled it a few times since I received it, so as for the quality… time will tell. The original battery lasted about five years of very frequent use to power a small fan for my dogs when I take them to the field for training every weekend. I hope the new battery lasts as long.
