Perfect replacement for the LA 400 dual gate opener. If your gate starts to slow down its likely your batteries not a mechanical problem. 2 of these will do the trick, change them out and the gate will work like new. I live in Las Vegas, hot weather is tough on batteries, the initial batteries lasted 7+ years (the date was on them). Hopefully these will get that run time as well. The owners manual is online if you need guidance changing but its really very easy. They are lead acid so please dispose/recycle properly.
