Loading the separate electrolyte is straightforward but the directions say that once loaded the battery’s voltage should be above 12 volts. After waiting for over an hour my battery never got above 10.5 volts necessitating a full capacity charge to prepare for use. Charging at 1/10 C (750mA) required a 10 hour charge during which time the battery vigorously out-gassed. So I left the cell stopper ajar and charged in a well ventilated area. Once charged, the battery appears to perform as expected. One complaint is that the clear plastic cell cover needs a detent to keep in it place once the battery is deployed. The cover easily slips off exposing the cell stopper strip to possible damage. In the future I’ll stay with gel-electolyte type batteries for this capacity.
