Had to make a minor adjustment to the terminals as the ones in the XP 106 are smaller. Once that was done this battery works perfectly!

After researching many different replacement batteries, I decided to order the Mighty Max 12V 9Ah SLA Battery for my Samson XPD106w PA system, mainly because it says in the description that this battery is specifically for that system. While this battery is a great replacement and has a long battery life there was one issue. The only thing to consider if you are using this for the XPD106w is that the posts on the battery are slightly wider than on the OEM battery, so the leads that plug into them don’t quite fit. I had to gently widen them with a screwdriver so they would fit on the posts. It was not a problem, but it makes me think that this battery was not specifically made for the XPD106w, but hey… It does work great.

Female spade on the Samson XP106 was too smal for the male spade on this model of battery. I ended up breaking the male terminals off of the old battery and spot soldering them onto the new battery, everything works and battery fits into the speaker perfectly.
