Have had a Toro Timemaster mower for residential use for about 5 seasons. Was pretty amazed that original battery lasted so long. Bought this replacement battery based on good reviews and price is less than half of Toro-branded replacement. Upon opening the box, I found this unit matched the physical size of old battery, with same connectors and same amperage/voltage. While battery itself was plug and play, getting access to the battery took a couple of handtools and some time sitting on the garage floor. Installation required removal of the front belt cover (4 bolts). Then flip handle all the way forward and remove rear plastic cover (another 3-4 bolts) and paydirt–the battery is visible. Original battery had the terminals taped in place (great idea) with non-metallic duct tape, so I did the same. My only complaint–and it is minor–the original battery had a 1/8 thick foam membrane stuck to the bottom to absorb shocks and also to make ensure the battery was properly wedged in place and would not move. That membrane product did not come with new battery-but I had some gasket material laying around, so made one. Then re-install all the covers and all the bolts. Hey–bonus, it arrived charged-so it fired up the mower as soon as I finished installing. I’ll put full charge on it anyway. Not to overstate the difficulty of installation—Writing this review took longer than installing the battery!

Used this battery in my Toro Electric Start lawn mower. It works great. The only thing was each terminal connector on the battery was the same size. The old battery had a larger one on the plus side. Had to squeeze the wire end connector together to make it fit. After that ever thing was fine. I would recommend this battery and I would buy again. Great Battery.

This battery is my second replacement for the electric start Toro. It should last at least two or more cutting seasons. It has not yet been installed as I don’t cut grass in the winter. It is easy to install and after charging starts the mower easily,
