Casing is 1/4″ to wide for vehicle. Purchased for our 700cc quad/4 wheeler, it uses a 20 series motorsports battery. The casing on this battery is just slightly to wide to fit in the battery compartment/tray. I purchased a Mighty Max 18 series battery (40 less cca) and added a dense foam piece to fill the space. The size is why I posted a 3 instead of a 5, I have never had an operational issue with a Mighty Max battery, they do the job well and are cost effective compared with bike shops, farm equipment and auto parts stores. Local retailers only carried “L” versions of this battery and I didn’t need reversed terminals.

Bought this after looking at a lot of other batteries costing 2x as much or more from many well known manufacturers. Installed in my 1994 Sportster and can honestly say I would buy it again. I don’t have the test of time yet behind me but as far as fit, functionality and compatibility, it was spot on. Well worth the purchase, spend your extra money on gas instead and go riding.

The company sent me a replacement right away and it’s going on 3 years now in a Sportster. Just replaced a previously purchased battery that lasted 4 years in a different bike. This bike has high compression and a high torque starter so it’s a good test of the battery. 4 years! I’ve had big name batteries at twice the price that only last about a year. Old review – Battery arrived DOA and unusable.

Battery fits as advertised. I don’t maintain my batteries like I should so I wind up replacing them every season or two. The more expensive ones don’t seem to fair that abuse any better, so why not go with a more budget friendly battery?
